Description:

The Society is looking for individuals to join the committee as research analysts for the virtual investment fund. The ethos of the fund is to build a track record of sustainable performance in the markets, utilising fundamental, as well as top-down analysis to identify and capitalise on opportunities across asset classes and global markets.

The ideal candidate will have:

– An interest in investing and willing to take a professional approach

– An understanding of common types of securities

– A fundamental understanding of risk management

– Attention to detail

Preferable qualities include:

– Reporting and/or coding experience

– Previous examples of interacting with financial markets

– Looking to pursue a career in financial services

The society is looking for one individual to join the committee to take the lead on secretarial responsibilities. This includes activities such as:

– Coordinate committee meetings, record minutes and log activity of the society

– Participate in project planning and management

– Identify areas of improvement for the society

The ideal candidate will have:

– Excellent written and communication skills

– A proactive approach to completing tasks

– Attention to detail

Preferable qualities include:

– Professional experience in a secretarial or reporting position

– Experience with Atlassian Jira or Microsoft Planner

– Looking to pursue a career in economics and/or finance
